8. NWO's Domination
WWE.comOver the next couple of years NWO grew in numbers, and established hegemony through run ins, beatdowns, and in ring assertion. Hulk Hogan won the World Heavyweight Championship against the world's largest athlete, The Giant, and spray painted the letters NWO on the belt. Nash and Hall also took the tag team title belts off of Harlem Heat. Their reign of terror continued with rivalries against the Four Horsemen, Diamond Dallas Page, and various other WCW superstars, even playing mind games with a fake Sting in NWO garb. This led to inner conflict with Luger questioning the Stinger's loyalty, resulting in Sting leaving the WCW stars to fend for themselves for the time being. For many, this section of the game's history could be considered the darkest timeline. The NWO grew in numbers and thinned out WCW alliances left and right, even establishing a sister stable in Japan, with Sting eventually going out to support the WCW at the end of the SuperBrawl VII pay per view. This momentous occasion, which involved many baseball bat attacks and Scorpion Death Drops, would be a great end cap to the storyline.
