The 33 year old WWE Champion is currently enjoying a push from the company, with his lengthy run as champion, and he carries favour with WWE management, making him easily one of the biggest stars in the company and deserves to be mentioned on this list as a potential cover star. However, with the rumours and increased likelihood of him losing the belt at Wrestlemania, Orton now faces a crossroads in his career: with only one world championship to compete for now that the two belts were unified and the rising of other heels within the company, such as Bray Wyatt and Batista since his return, he faces a battle to stay relevant within the WWE. In short, the chances of Randy Orton still being as fancied around the time of the cover star being announced are slim. Orton's appearance as the cover star on WWE '12 would also limit his chances, although there is precedent of stars making repeat appearances, and a face turn and strong storylines could bring him back into contention and in line with becoming the cover star of WWE 2K15.
