WWE 2K17: 10 Awesome Match Types It Must Include

6. Lumberjack

If the WWE games can barely cope with six guys in the ring at the same time, then Lumberjack matches would obviously be a real challenge for the developers. However, getting at least ten to twelve Superstars around the ring really shouldn't be that tough, and 2K17 could even use cutscenes when you're thrown out of the ring, showing the Lumberjacks throwing a few punches and kicks before they throw you back in with a chunk taken out of your XP. If being thrown to the Lumberjacks is turned into a potential game changer, then avoiding that at all costs will become a big part of how players approach the match. An interesting twist could be the ability to take on the role of the Lumberjacks, something which would be a lot of fun when playing against a friend. That added sense of danger of them not knowing when you might try to target them or which of the Lumberjacks you are adds an interesting new wrinkle to the game and makes it more than just a match with a few computer controlled props surrounding the ring. Lumberjack matches are a fairly regular occurrence on WWE programming, so their absence from the games does stand out somewhat. While some are better than others, they're almost always a lot of fun, and there's really no reason to suspect that wouldn't also be the case in a video game. Whether being thrown to the Lumberjacks ends up being a quick time event or something else, this should be a priority for 2K17.
