WWE 2K17: 10 Most Shocking Roster Omissions

7. The APA

Though not as decorated as Edge & Christian or The Dudley Boyz, The Acolytes were a great Attitude Era tag team. Finding their feet as The Undertaker’s Ministry henchmen, they became the Acolytes Protection Agency when the Mean Street Posse hired them for protection in January 2000, and thus one of the period’s most enjoyable gimmicks was born.

A set of pure, no-nonsense ass-kickers, Faarooq and Bradshaw would regularly appear as hired help. It didn’t matter who you were, if you had the cash, you could hire the APA, but their success wasn’t limited to beating people up for profit. The duo were three-time WWE Tag Team Champions, Faarooq was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012, and when Bradshaw’s current stint on commentary ends, he’ll likely make his way there himself.

Bradshaw is included as JBL in 2K17, and while Faarooq appeared in full Nation of Domination garb last year, his APA incarnation hasn’t been seen in years. Despite JBL’s inclusion, you’d think 2K Games would find a way to implement this HOF-worthy tag team, but alas, it isn’t to be.

Look, if you’re going to include The Bushwhackers as a “legendary” tag team, how can you possibly disregard the APA?
