2. Weapons In The Royal Rumble

2K have already revealed that the Royal Rumble will be getting an overhaul in 2K18. New elimination mechanics headline the changes, and the previous cap of 6 wrestlers in-ring at once will be extended to 8. Whilst these enhancements are nice, we're not breaking out the party hats until there are some more.

Being able to leave the ring would be nice, but the cherry on top of the cake would come if 2K allowed weapon use in the Rumble. These don't need to be the default settings though; being able to change the rules of the 30-man match to suit your needs could be the way forward. Playing a hardcore Rumble sounds like a nice change of pace.

What if some wrestlers came to the ring already carrying a weapon? This shakes up the entire Rumble concept, especially if players have the ability to kill time and brawl outside the ring. To stop cheating, 2K could even have ringside referees cajole wrestlers back into the ring after a short period.
