WWE 2K18: 10 Potential Showcase Modes

2. Kurt Angle's Career

2K don't need to put a lot of thought into this one. They could just use the template set down by Stone Cold's career retrospective in WWE 2K16 and replace Steve Austin with Kurt Angle. Playing that rookie year from 1999-2000 would be enough on its own, complete with European, Intercontinental, King Of The Ring, and WWF Title wins.

Beyond that, there are Angle's timeless feuds with everyone from Edge and Brock Lesnar to The Undertaker and Triple H to get cosy with. The absence of Chris Benoit would take away from the story, but it'd be understandable from WWE's point of view. Anyway, the blow of skipping that epic portion of Kurt's career would be softened elsewhere.

In the old days, a mode like this would be ideal for unlocking Angle for use in exhibition or Universe Mode, but the Raw GM is a pre-order bonus in 2K18. That may scupper any hope that a playable look at his career is possible, but fans should start praying now regardless.
