7. Hall Of Fame Mode

2K Sports usually do a solid job of integrating WWE legends into their games, with 58 classic characters making it into last year’s incarnation. It’s time for them to go one step further, however, and create a comprehensive Hall Of Fame mode that not only lets you play as these historical stars, but travel back to the eras they starred in, and recreate some of their most important historical moments.

Previous games have done this through Showcase Mode, but 2K should look at expanding the scope this year. Creating a timeline for every single HOF member is unrealistic, but doing so for the Hall’s top 15-20 inductees would represent a great use of WWE’s rich history, and provide a satisfying nostalgia kick.

Players could relive Hogan bodyslamming Andre at WrestleMania III, Shawn Michaels achieving his boyhood dream in 1996, or The Undertaker tossing Mankind from Hell In A Cell. If given the level of depth it deserves, HOF Mode could be a great new take on the Showcases of old by putting players in control of some of WWE's biggest moments, and reminding them why these wrestlers are so revered in the first place. 2K have so much great great history at their disposal, and it'd be a shame if they didn't make use of it.
