WWE 2K18: 10 Ways To Make It The Perfect Game
2. An Undertaker Showcase
While Showcase Mode eventually surfaced in WWE 2K17 through the Hall Of Fame DLC pack, it was surprisingly omitted from the base game. The feature has been a key selling point of recent titles, and allowed players to experience in the game in a completely different way to Career and Universe, with 2K16’s run through Steve Austin’s career a particularly enjoyable success.
2K Games would ideally have the feature included in WWE 2K18 at the time of launch, and while there are plenty of great choices for this year’s subject, an Undertaker timeline seems like the most obvious (and marketable) choice.
Given ‘Taker’s recent retirement, now is the perfect time to trawl through the moments that made him WWE’s most iconic character. From his genesis at Survivor Series 1990, through the ‘Lord Of Darkness’ and ‘American Badass’ eras, right up to his WrestleMania 33 retirement, there’s tremendous scope to create the most in-depth Showcase experience yet.
It’d take a lot of effort to do ‘The Deadman’s’ incredible legacy justice, and perhaps there’s not enough time left in 2K18’s development window, but 2K Sports’ track record suggests they’re up to the task.
