Although any WWE Draft mode wouldn't be dependent on GM Mode's return, it would be more fun to kick off running Raw or SmackDown by picking a customised talent roster and managing the different personalities on your brand for at least one year.

Another way to get the Draft in there would be by copying 2002's Shut Your Mouth. Back then, every Story Mode campaign began with a cut scene message from Linda McMahon. Players were then whisked off to Raw and asked to pick 10 stars they wanted on both brands.

This was an easy way to personalise your chosen wrestler's career and make sure desired feuds and title shots were available on the same show. On top of all that, the Draft opening was more interesting than reading through text-based menus and switching each character individually.

It'd be awesome to see 2K dig this one up and include it in 2K19.
