WWE 2K19: 10 Biggest Innovations We Need To See

8. In-Game Storylines That Reflect What We See On TV

Playing out feuds from WWE TV is a must in these video games. 2K get away without because they market the game as "your WWE Universe". That's fine, but it'd be sweet to play out feuds like AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura or emotional stories like Daniel Bryan's return to action every now and then.

The developers (and WWE) are missing a trick by not presenting their pre-existing storylines in the 2K series.

OK, so it's perhaps unrealistic to expect the dev team to whip up storylines from the same year as release. Still, there's nothing stopping them from focusing on some from the previous one, or even classic storylines, and that's where any argument against using real life stories falls down.

WWE feuds are perfect for video games, and it's about time 2K innovated their own work by adding some of them in. In a sense, this would be a re-innovation, because older titles included television angles and storylines in them.
