WWE 2K19: 10 Leading Contenders To Be Cover Star

8. Asuka

Regardless of how hard she's pushed on WWE television, Asuka will remain an outside bet for the cover star slot in 2K19. Questions would hang over how 2K portray her on the sleeve too. Do they use that Kabuki-style mask or emblazon the box with her winning smile? Is she wrestling or simply striking a pose?

It might be an idea for the developers to start thinking about actually showing wrestling on the game box. If they're interested in using names like Asuka, that'd be a good idea; despite her popularity amongst fans who watch now, Asuka isn't a household name who will draw in lapsed or casual fans to the game like Steve Austin or even John Cena would.

By showing Asuka kicking someone's ass inside the ring (perhaps at WrestleMania), 2K would be highlighting what the game is about to those not in the know and pushing one of the best female stars in history all at the same time.

Perhaps stealing the lenticular idea conceived for Bálor would be a solid plan here.
