WWE 2K19: 10 Leading Contenders To Be Cover Star

2. AJ Styles

Nobody could have guessed with any accuracy that AJ Styles would become such a big deal in WWE when he signed a few years ago.

Styles is the prototypical workhorse wrestler, but he's been able to brush up his promo chops in the company and become wrestling's greatest all-rounder. WWE know they're going to get a good match from AJ every time, and they should also know that putting him on the 2K19 box art would make a lot of people happy.

AJ last appeared on a video game cover alongside Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe for TNA Impact in 2008. There's a thought: all three of those men are now in WWE, and there wouldn't be a lot of teary eyes (not sad ones, anyway) if that trio were splashed across 2K19's box this year.

Styles does deserve to be in the spotlight on his own however. As WWE Champion, he has carried SmackDown on his back and consistently delivered world class matches. An avid gamer himself, he'd also be able to explain why fans should be interested.

Choosing AJ would be the next step in 2K's evolution.
