WWE 2K20: 10 Biggest Fears Hardcore Fans Have

4. There's No GM Mode

Pack up your belongings, flee the country and live a life of solitude crying into copies of SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 on some deserted, exotic island if this comes true.

Playing General Manager in a WWE video game again has been the holy grail ever since 2007's annual update became the last to feature it. Now, Universe Mode does have some of the same ideas, but it's a million miles away from how fun GM Mode was. It's more generic, for a start, and it all feels so...aimless.

Becoming GM, picking a brand to control and vying to become better than the opposition gave players something to shoot for. It'd be criminal if 2K continued ignoring pleas for this mode to return and wheeled out another unaltered Universe like it was what everyone desired. It isn't. It really isn't.

Nobody would lose much sleep if Universe was replaced outright by GM. If it's not, then thousands of 2K20 fans will spend time tinkering and tailoring their game world without actually playing much of it. As they do, they'll bemoan the lack of understanding at 2K towers.
