WWE 2K20: 10 Biggest Innovations We Need To See

1. Commentary That Works

WWE 2K20 Commentary
2K Games

There was a time when commentary in WWE games was the audio equivalent of someone WRITING liKE ThiS and EXPECting NOBODY tO NotICE. Honestly, phrases like, "Triple H has won the match" devolved into bitty segments recorded individually that sounded like, "Triple H...has...won...THE...match". It was rough stuff, and things are barely better now.

In 2K19, the announce trio of Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Corey Graves get genders wrong, mis-call moves and generally fail to respond in realistic fashion to what's going on inside or outside the ring. Even 1999's WCW Mayhem on PS1 had better commentary than we get from 2K's series.

The announcing is awful, and there's no excuse when other games handle it with panache. It's not really a lot to ask that 2K record workable comms that don't take away from the matches players are wrestling. Also, if the commentators could stop flailing around like they've been supping Monster for days, that'd be great.

WWE video games have needed good commentary for decades. Decades.
