WWE 2K20: 10 Improvements It Must Make On 2K19

9. Commentary

So is hearing Michael Cole get someone's gender wrong mid-match, or the complete lack of cohesion in 2K19's commentary generally.

This is another long-standing complaint that won't disappear until it's rectified by in-game announcing that does the real-life stuff proud. Cole, Corey Graves and Renee Young tell stories on Raw, and the same goes for Tom Phillips, Gaves and Byron Saxton on SmackDown. They're hardly perfect all the time, but they're never as dumb as their video game counterparts.

Commentary in other sports franchises is spot-on these days, and that makes things more irritating for those who stump up annual cash for 2K's wrestling games. FIFA, NHL, NBA, Madden and more (hell, even Rory McIlroy PGA Tour from 2015 had solid narration) all do a vastly better job than WWE's game does.

When a three-year old golf game tops a 2018 wrestling one in the presentation stakes, you know there's a major, major issue. 2K20 must have commentary that fits the action happening in the ring, doesn't repeat every two seconds and, most important of all, doesn't sound like Cole, Graves and pals have been on an all-night bender.
