WWE 2K20: 10 Improvements It Must Make On 2K19
8. Online Play
It's hardly earth-shattering news to anyone who has dipped a toe in online over the past couple of WWE 2K entries, but playing over the internet against complete strangers just isn't very fun. 2K19 did nothing to solve this; servers were occasionally sketchy, matchmaking was slow and the whole experience felt hollow.
2K are doing their game a disservice here.
Though they may never stop some players from resorting to cheap tactics or exploiting physics bugs to win every time (those are part of a broader issue), 2K can make matchmaking a slicker process and add some replay value to the online suite. The fact they haven't done that is frankly baffling.
2K19 should have been a game that was all over Twitch, and it should have had people dying to grab a controller, pick their favourite superstar and jump online for some barmy back-and-forth brawls. As it is, this gamer does everything to avoid playing online.
