WWE 2K20: 10 Improvements It Must Make On 2K19
7. Regular Updates
WWE 2K19 does have a 'WWE Live' system that updates character stats, keeps players abreast of new online Tower challenges and the like. One thing it doesn't do is rejig the roster so that they're all wonderfully in-step with WWE television. That's why Dean Ambrose still looks like he's from 2015, not 2018.
Seeing the new IC Champ wander into battle with his old mop-top hairdo and wearing his washed-out grey vest is ever-so-slightly annoying to those who want an up-to-the-minute experience. 2K19's Dean Ambrose is not the same one prowling episodes of Raw, and it means a quick visit to Community Creations is in order.
Is that really necessary in this day and age?
2K20 will hopefully have a more robust update mechanic that offers new character models (or at least some subtle tweaks to a star's hair, outfit etc). It's understandable that 2K want gamers to pay for new content in the form of DLC, but it's rotten that their games are so woefully antiquated a few months after release.
