3. Kurt Angle

Maybe frosty responses to Kurt Angle's retirement at 'Mania 35 will soften over time. Maybe. One thing 2K would have to do for any Olympic Showcase though is put in the option to have players pick his final opponent. Sorry, WWE, but that Baron Corbin nonsense (despite giving him heel bragging rights afterwards) didn't feel very satisfying.

Angle deserved better.

This is a man who has put himself through physical hell to entertain. Neck injuries have been a feature of his sparkling career, and so no retrospective of his dual runs in WWE could realistically avoid the toll Kurt's punishing work style has had on his body. If anything, the fact that style took him near breaking point should go under the microscope.

Matches against Triple H, The Rock, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and more would make his Showcase worth it too. Notable omissions would include feuds with Chris Benoit and his short spell on ECW pre-TNA, but there's enough elsewhere to pad the mode out anyway.
