WWE 2K20: 10 Things To Know Before You Buy
10. Yuke's Leaving Had A Bigger Impact Than Some Think
This may seem like an obvious starting point for hardcores, but there are some who don't trawl the net for news months before WWE 2K games out. To them, it'll come as a surprise to hear that Yuke's are out and Visual Concepts come in to replace them. That's a deceptively massive change to the way this series works.
2K basically had to recode 2K20 without Yuke's help. If that doesn't sound like much, then consider the work Yuke's have put into the WWE franchise since that first SmackDown game on PSOne. Further, anything 2K needed to change would have to be done internally on a tight schedule. That didn't leave a lot of room for error.
Worryingly, various YouTubers obsessed with the 2K franchise have reported that there seems to be less animations in the game. On top of that, several moves look to have been removed completely. This probably has something to do with Bryan Williams, otherwise known as Yuke's in-house wrestling guru, no longer being involved.
