8. There's Still No Authentic Superstar Career

Meanwhile, those hoping to relive happy days spent playing classics like SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth or Here Comes The Pain will be left disappointed by the CAW story format. This isn't the year when 2K finally realise that fans crave an authentic WWE superstar experience like the good old days on PS2 and PS3/Xbox 360 had.

That means your only option for superstar-driven fun is playing through Showcase, some of the Towers, indulging in 2K Originals and all the wackiness there or ploughing through Universe mode. It's a bit disheartening to learn that 2K20 doesn't come pre-packed with any sort of story suite that mimics what's happening in real world WWE.

Picking a wrestler from NXT, Raw or SmackDown and moulding their career through branching story paths would've been awesome. Alas, it wasn't to be. Keep that in mind if you've been annoyed at the bizarre lack of crossover between 2K's product and what WWE do in real life.
