WWE 2K20: 10 Things To Know Before You Buy
7. Roman Reigns' Tower Is Semi-Showcase
The Towers are back. Some will rejoice at this, whereas others will groan and wonder why they'd want to churn through endless streams of matches with a few set rules.
One of the positives to come out of 2K's Tower-led fascination is that they've started to experiment with how they work. For example, Roman Reigns' path is almost a soft Showcase mode and includes talking head segments narrated by the 'Big Dog' himself. That, if nothing else, sounds like a step forward for Towers.
This is something 2K are keen to explore further when they launch DLC too. The heavily hyped Originals (more on that later) will come with their own unique Tower paths and possibly follow the trend set by Reigns' one; 2K are adding value for those who like this feature. That cannot be denied here.
The burning issue will be whether or not this represents sustainable value for money or grows stale fast. For now, players will get Roman's story-based Tower out of the box. Think of it as a super-loose look at some of his bigger rivalries and matches.
