WWE 2K22: 10 Most Anticipated Changes Fans Need To See

5. Cross Platform Play

Gaming has changed a lot over the past few years.

Companies like Sony and Microsoft have come to realise that boasting about exclusives will only take them so far, and they're thankfully keen to explore accessibility for gamers around the globe. That's why 'dual entitlement' is so cool, and it's why cross platform play for select titles makes everyone cheery.

If 2K and VC really want to get in the good books with social butterflies everywhere, then they could serve up some cross platform play in 2K22. In other words, someone who owns a PS5 would be able to play online with pals who buy the game on Xbox Series X/S. Why not? That's the future.

Gilmore did temper expectations for this by suggesting that 2K22 might not launch on new hardware at all for a while. There's a chance that the developers will focus on PS4 and Xbox One for now, which sure seems like another error-in-waiting.
