WWE 2K22: 10 Things GM Mode Must Get Right

8. The WWE Draft

WWE's real-life 2020 Draft was rubbish.

Stephanie McMahon awkwardly tried to drum up thrills by reading each pick from cue cards and smiling as though Raw star Drew McIntyre staying on Mondays was somehow the best thing ever. It sucked, but that's an issue with presentation more than the actual Draft idea itself.

2K22 should remedy this by offering the choice between pre-set/real world rosters or a fantasy Draft. Think SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth here, and how both Vinnie Mac and Ric Flair selected their workers in short cutscenes. That was somehow more watchable than Steph pretending she was having a ball last October.

Seeing how certain wrestlers react to joining your brand would be neat too. Different scenes for tag-teams and couples splitting up, quick promos from some of the bigger picks and a little bit of feedback from fans on social media would be just some of the ideas 2K can plunder from to make Drafts soar.
