WWE 2K22: 10 Ways To Successfully Reboot The Series

When SmackDown moved to FOX, that and RAW once again became completely separate brands. In order to give that some meaning in the next WWE game, then bringing back the classic "Vs." format from earlier instalments in the franchise just makes sense (including NXT this time, obviously).

In those original SmackDown vs. RAW games, players could become the General Manager of their favourite show, picking their top wrestlers in a Draft and then competing to find out which would ultimately be superior. You could even create unexpected tag teams and stables, not to mention different titles and the like which helped make it feel like you were truly in control of the action.

All of that could be brought back and re-imagined, while we're sure there are other, new elements which could be incorporated as well (likely involving an online component where your brand could be pitted against other people's). Fans are desperate to see this return, and that alone would lend WWE 2K22 some much-needed positivity ahead of launch after what happened with the last chapter.
