WWE 2K22 Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Demand
1. Some Sort Of GM Mode
Some gamers wet their pants with excitement when AEW announced that they were releasing a mobile game centred around sim management. That GM goodness has topped wishlists since WWE's titles did away with the mode after SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, and everyone wants it back.
The good news? 2K22 looks likely to deliver.
It's silly to imagine that 2K22's GM Mode will be exactly the same as the old one though. 2K will want to put their own spin on THQ's work and modernise aspects of the feature. That's fine provided they maintain the same level of addictiveness SD vs. Raw 2008 had, and/or don't bruise the appeal by shoving in microtransactions.
Apologies if the thought of that ruined your day.
A GM Mode, basic or fully-fleshed, is essential in 2K22. You know it, the dude writing this knows it, and 2K know it. This mode has become the Holy Grail of wrestling gaming, and that won't change until players are in charge again.
