WWE 2K22 Wishlist: 10 Things Fans NEED To See
5. Branching Storylines In MyCareer
MyCareer's bid to put you in the shoes of a WWE hopeful is admirable yet flawed. The 'on rails' experience 2K favours works for Showcase (more on that coming up), but leaves the CAW-style story feeling a bit limited where it shouldn't, and that won't change until the devs start experimenting.
Or play the Mass Effect remasters.
Those games nailed the importance of player choice and made even the most shallow of decisions feel impactful. For example, choosing whether to save Kaidan or Ashley in ME1 sculpted the rest of the series; 2K22's MyCareer could easily implement some dialogue wheels along those lines that opens the story up and encourages replayability.
Or, if they're feeling very adventurous, 2K could launch the first chapter in a story that plays out over multiple games (like FIFA's 'The Journey' did). Branching paths would keep things from feeling too contrived, and MyCareer could use that kind of kick up the arse.
