WWE 2K23: 10 Reasons To Be REALLY Excited
8. 2K22 Was A Return To Form
This really cannot be said enough: 2K22 wasn't the bug-riddled smash-and-grab 2K20 was. It was a concerted effort from the developers to apologise for that mess and give suffering gamers a product they could get lost in all year. Mission accomplished then, 'cause it was a rip-roaring success of a project.
Signs are there that WWE games are finally on the right track again. This, even pre-2K20, was something fans grumbled about for years; the games felt formulaic and like they offered the bare minimum rather than trying to push things forward or offer brand new experiences.
Could that happen again long-term? Sure, but the folks working on 2K23 must be pumped up about how well-received 2K22 was by even the most jaded gamers. They'll be motivated to do even better this time, and to make sure 2K23 gets praise for improving on the sexy skeletal frame from last year.
This series feels rejuvenated, but it shouldn't stop there.
