OK, we know that WWE 2K23's ratings were likely set in stone before Ripley won the Royal Rumble. But even putting that aside, how on God's Green Earth is the Nightmare only an 87 after the year she had?

As part of Judgement Day, Ripley played a crucial role in elevating the group to their current level of popularity. Finn Balor is great in his role as the scumbag leader, but Ripley is undoubtedly the biggest star of the group. Watching her go toe-to-toe with the male roster - and getting cheered for it in a way reminiscent of Chyna at her peak - cemented the fact that Rhea is, as Becky put it, the future of the business.

Fortunately, there is hope for Rhea.

Bianca Belair was in an even worse situation last year, as she was ranked a measly 86 points in WWE 2K22 despite main-eventing WrestleMania the year before. This year has seen the EST get the rating she deserves (95), and hopefully 2K Games will perform a similar about-face next year and give Ripley a grade worthy of her talents.
