WWE SmackDown Here Comes The Pain Remaster: 10 Things It Must Have
4. Some Of 2K's Features
Throughout this article, you may get the impression that this long-suffering, always-purchasing veteran of 2K's series hates the work they do on WWE titles. That's not true. Only an idiot would buy a game every year if they hated it, no matter how loyal to the cause that person is. Some of the features 2K has implemented over the years are welcome.
Not only that, but Yukes should feel encouraged to use them.
Customisation has become king in WWE video games nowadays. It's something 2K do better than most, and that includes old kings of the ring THQ in Here Comes The Pain. Being able to build arenas from scratch, create picture-perfect versions of outside belts like the IWGP Heavyweight one and more is an absolute blast.
Yukes' game would feel empty without that, just as it would Community Creations. Some sort of customisation suite beyond Create-A-Superstar is needed, it's as simple as that. Imagine being able to wrestle for New Japan's belt using HCTP's gameplay? That's grappling gaming heaven.
