Xbox 720: 10 Reasons It’ll Win Console War Over PS4

2. It's The Easiest To Develop For

One of the major selling points of the 360 for developers was that it was substantially easier to develop for than the PS3. The difficulty of programming for the PS3's Cell processor meant that some games were released with technical deficiencies despite the console having marginally more advanced tech than its competitor. Take the PS3 version of Bayonetta; this awkward programming meant that the game had loading times of around a minute every time you died, turning a great game (on the 360) into a wildly infuriating one on the PS3. While developers have noted that the PS4 is a lot easier to develop for than the PS3 - and the Wii U as well, in fact - some anonymous interviews posted on IGN suggested that these developers still see Microsoft as having the most empathy for overworked devs. The 720, it seems, is the easiest to code for, and nobody should be surprised about that. It means that developers are going to want to develop for the console, and not abandon support as has already happened with the Wii U.
