Xbox Game Pass: 10 Essential 360 & Xbox Games You Must Play

9. Fable: Anniversary

If you want fun, charm, and witty package, look no further than Fable: Anniversary. Originally a remaster of the original Xbox version for the 360, Fable: Anniversary adds a bit of polish and streamlining to the original Fable experience, leading to an altogether thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience.

You play hero whose family are killed when you are a child by marauding bandits. You are spared (otherwise it would have been an awfully short game) and grow up in the Heroes's Guild, eventually venturing out into the world for adventure.

All fairly standard fantasy there, but the true charm of Fable is in its humour; a fusion of Terry Pratchett and Monty Python. Second only to the, well, second entry in the series, the main plot of this first Fable also does build good momentum, carrying you through your travels in Albion.

Across three entries so far, Fable has grown a loving fanbase. And with a new entry on the way (sometime soon, hopefully), now's the time to start the franchise if you haven't before (or start again if you have).
