Xbox One: 10 Brand New Tips, Tricks & Secrets You Must Try

3. Magnifier & Narrator On The Fly

Eagle-eyed gamers may have spotted this addition on the main Home button screen, but as the text is very small and the feature hasn't been shown off by Microsoft very much, I'm including it here. So, you're probably already familiar with holding the main Home button to bring up the option to turn off controllers or the console itself, but if you hit the View button in that menu, the interface will disappear and you can use the triggers to zoom in and out of the screen, with the left stick panning around. It's great for magnifying small subtitles or text font sizes that might be uncomfortable to focus on otherwise. Back to the menu though, and hitting the Menu button activates your personal narrator - Microsoft's Windows 10-style audible assistant to aid blind or visually-impaired gamers. We're apparently getting Halo's blue babe, Cortana, as an optional voice for this function at some point in 2016 (voiced again by Jen Taylor) but for now you'll have to stick with 'generic male #6196'.
