3. Lame Achievements
We've heard extensively that achievements are going to be significantly shaken up on the Xbox One, though few of us might have expected
this. Though filed patents often don't amount to anything, Microsoft recently filed one that would award players with achievements simply for...watching TV. So, for beasting through an entire season of Game of Thrones in a day, you might end up getting an achievement, a reward for the most passive possible thing you could be doing on your Xbox. Obviously aimed at so-called "Cheev whores", this reward system would aim to encourage users to stream episodes of content no doubt just to further line Microsoft's pockets, and though I find the idea ludicrous myself, I'm sure there are many who will get suckered in by it. Awful.
