9. Kinect Isn't Watching You
Argh! There's a camera bundled with the Xbox One and it'll watch us all constantly and report our every move to government agents whose job it is to make sure that you put your underpants on right and that you don't pick your nose and eat it afterwards. Yes, Kinect is built as a pretty integral part of the Xbox One (but isn't required anymore after Microsoft realised everyone didn't like being forced into doing things), but the camera isn't the ultimate spying tool. Bill Gates is too busy counting his money to watch you drooling as you play Call of Duty: Ghosts. According to Microsoft themselves: "...you are in control of what Kinect can see and hear. By design, you will determine how responsive and personalised your Xbox One is to you and your family during setup. The system will navigate you through key privacy options, like automatic or manual sign in, privacy settings, and clear notifications about how data is used. When Xbox One is on and you're simply having a conversation in your living room, your conversation is not being recorded or uploaded." So relax, Padawans: Microsoft won't be listening in on your every move.
