Xbox One: 10 Upcoming Exclusive Games That'll Make You Buy It

9. Quantum Break

Remedy Entertainment are a studio plenty more people should know about - they're the guys behind the utterly brilliant first two Max Payne games, and even in 2010 Alan Wake's take on Twin Peaks/Stephen King-style horror was a fantastically quirky shooter in its own right. Since then it's all been a bit quiet, but they seem to have signed an exclusivity deal with Microsoft to bring them Quantum Break; another third-person shooter with the killer hook of having its story unfold both in the game and with a parallel TV series. Apparently the way it works is the game follows the motivations of one set of characters, whilst the show does another, the full picture only coming together when you've seen both. It's definitely unique, but fingers crossed the stilted acting of the reveal trailer in 2013 isn't indicative of the whole thing. Gameplay-wise it's a return to more Max Payne-type gunplay, with your character having the ability to pause and rotate the camera through a variety of set-pieces, alongside deploying 'time grenades' to freeze guys in place, before you sprint up and Superman-punch them back to reality - something that already looks unbelievably fun:
