As hard as EA tries, and as good as Battlefront II is looking, they will never be able to capture the pure magic that was the original Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Back in 2015, when the Battlefront series made its return, every single aspect of the game was criticized and compared to the fan favorite Battlefront II, which was released 10 years prior. It featured a narrative story, objective based space battles and the adored galactic conquest mode. All these modes were nowhere near being present in a game released 10 years later, which made fans cling to the original installments of the series and fight for their return.

Battlefront II was addicting and had immense amounts of replayability. It allowed you to play as countless heroes as well as countless forces from both the Empire and Rebels. If Microsoft wanted to get fans into Xbox original backwards compatibility, there's no doubt that this game would have fans using it immediately. This is yet another game that could be sold to fans without them blinking an eye.

Better yet, think of how many people would buy Battlefront II later this year if a backwards compatibility version of the O.G. Battlefront II was thrown in for free. No deluxe editions and no Modern Warfare Remastered fiasco. Just throw it in along with the base game and watch the sales numbers climb.
