5. User Interface Customization
One of the coolest features present in both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was how personal you could customise each dashboard to feel. Every few months I swapped out background themes on both consoles to reflect either what game I was looking forward to, or absolutely loving at the time. Sometimes I would go a non-gaming related personalized route, most notably when the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup Championship and had me rocking an appropriate background. That wide range in flexibility makes it all the more disappointing that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have no similar features yet. For now were just stuck with default backgrounds, but one has to imagine a feature like this is on the way. Its worth noting however that the Xbox One has a tiny bit of customization, allowing you to choose a favorite color for your tile box backgrounds and notification images.
