4. System Storage
This nuisance may not affect everyone, but its one completely omitted feature that bothers me. I play a ridiculous amount of games and subsequently amass a large number of data files. When you consider how huge game install files are this generation, its inevitable that the 500GB wont be enough for either console. Now, you can upgrade the HDD for your PlayStation 4 thankfully, but Microsoft dropped the ball on this one. You cant even check how much storage is still available on the Xbox One, let alone upgrade the thing. Even so, will the biggest HDDs be enough to satisfy the more dedicated gamers out there? Its mostly a situation we will just have to witness play out, but I already have half of my PlayStation 4s HDD filled. I also have a strange case of OCD and dont like deleting things just to make room for other things. Say you did delete a rather large full retail game though, and randomly got an itch to play it again. Redownloading 30-50GB files - even if the download speeds are lightning fast- is still frustrating because youre not resolving the core dilemma of having to micromanage what content is worthy of populating your HDD.
