Xbox Vs PlayStation: Ranking EVERY Launch Line-Up From Worst To Best
7. Xbox Series X/S
Launch Date: 2020
Notable Games: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Gears Tactics
Microsoft's new consoles look promising, with legacy backward compatibility, incredible value with Game Pass, and a mouth-watering ensemble of first-party devs working on future content for it.
However, launch wise, if the most exciting titles are cross-gen Ubisoft games, and a port of a franchise spin-off available on PC earlier this year.. .sorry, but it's going to earn a low rank on a list like this.
It's not completely fair. Halo: Infinite was originally meant to release hand-in-hand with the machine, but due to production troubles, a Master Chief sized hole has been left in its line-up, and it painfully shows.
There's still fun to have: Gears Tactics finally comes to Xbox and is an absolute blast, plus the hyped new Yakuza is (weirdly) a new-gen timed exclusive prioritized over Sony's PS5.
That said, from a list of thirty-two launch games, none are exclusive to the new Xboxes, which means at present, the Series X/S main purpose is to provide a prettier way of playing current-gen games... and not much more.
Hardly a reason to write the machine off, but not a grand start either.
