Yu-Gi-Oh: 10 Most Powerful Blue-Eyes Cards
4. Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon
We all know the Blue-Eyes is the OG boss monster, and in making support for it Konami had all the room in the world to get creative. The Blue-Eyes is a vanilla monster, vanilla being the terminology Yugi players use to describe a normal monster that just attacks - with this in mind and because nothing beats the original Konami decided to focus on summoning variations of the Blue Eyes from the extra deck.
The Bue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, released in Shining Victories is the go-to synchro monster on the first turn.
Its has three very powerful effects that work against a ton of decks. The first ability stops multiple monsters being summoned at once. For you old school players this stops something like Cyber Jar summoning a bunch of monsters at once but for the payers up to date, you know this hoses pendulum summoning.
The second ability negates one effect that triggers from the graveyard, pretty much every deck has a couple of these, some even rely on it so it's extremely versatile.
The last ability allows you to 'tag him out' and sacrifice him only to replace him with another light synchro dragon monster from your extra deck. So if the Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon can't do the job you find another monster who can, something like Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon or Black Rose Moonlight Dragon.
As Blue-Eyes decks continue to evolve one constant is the inclusion of the Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon. Dont enter locals without it.
