After saving up for a few stamina vessels, and making your way to the remote island of Eventide, a mere Blue Hinox shouldn’t be a concern to a battle-hardened adventurer. That is until the ‘Stranded on Eventide’ shrine quest kicks in, and Link is stripped of all his equipment, weapons, and armour.

On Eventide, Link must put three shrine orbs on their pedestals to open the shrine. Two are in enemy encampments, but one is, again, tied around the neck of the Hinox. Without stealth armour, it’s more difficult taking the orb from its neck without defeating it too.

Eventide Island is one of the crowning achievements of Breath of the Wild, as the player must get used to scraping together health items and weapons all over again. Every enemy, not just the Hinox, can deal massive amounts of damage, and the player would be wise to implement creative trap tactics to defeat the Hinox rather than using brawn.
