Taluses don’t just come in the form of stone. There are two other types of Talus, including Frost Taluses. These icy titans act the same as their Stone variants, except that one touch from their frosty surface will freeze Link in place, allowing them an easy hit on the player.

There are five Frost Taluses altogether, and it can be difficult to even get to them, as the environments they inhabit are so cold.

Pikida Stonegrove’s Frost Talus is all the more tricky, as Frost Pebblits assist it in the fray. Frost Pebblits are mini versions of the Frost Talus that can also freeze Link if he gets too close. Dealing with these miniature popsicles isn’t too much of an issue, however, as the player can coax the Frost Talus to smash the Pebblits into pieces.

One way to avoid the Talus’ freezing effects is upgrading the Snowquill armour twice, unlocking the Unfreezable perk. Having a good number of fire and bomb arrows is another strategy. A direct hit will defrost the Talus, allowing Link to climb and hit the vulnerable ore deposit.
