Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 - 10 Things Fans Need To See
4. Better Sidequests
Breath of the Wild dabbles throughout with side quests to fill out its open world, but, to be honest, they're by far the best example of open-world sidequest game design and are pretty one-note.
What we'd really like to see in Breath of the Wild 2 is a more hearty focus on delivering stories within sidequests.
We're talking sidequests on the level of games like the Witcher 3, with multiple layers to them and real, hearty rewards to be found at the end of them. Heck, why not combine it together with the town rebuilding mechanics too and make it even more exciting?
Every village could, for example, have multiple inhabitants who need something to enhance the town or life in Hyrule in general. As you play through these, you might find more things, visit locations you may have otherwise completely missed and have more of a steer on what you should be doing at any given moment.
The sidequests in the original were fine and functional, but there's so much potential to do much, much more with them in Breath of the Wild 2.
