Zombie Army 4: Dead War Review

Weapon Variety & The Perk System

If weapon variety wasn’t enough, then Dead War also comes packed with a surprisingly deep upgrade and perk system that can be tweaked to any zombie killer's taste.

Split between offensive, defensive and more, there are a bounty of perks which can be unlocked from simply levelling up, or completing unique challenges along the way.

Some are certainly better than others and, for example, the Heavy perk is not only a game-changer, but a lifesaver too. Being able to rip mounted turrets from which they are placed is supremely satisfying - as if you were reliving your favourite over the top action scenes from a classic 80s movie.

Weapons are just as important too, with the three basic snipers going down very different paths once maxed out. Whereas the M1 Garand will grant players the chance to set zombies of fire with incendiary shots, the Gewehr 43 with fire out electrical blasts that make short work of the dead hordes. This is also the case when it comes to the machine guns and shotguns that are at the player's disposal.

It can’t be left out that Rebellion wanted melee powers to be fun too, and it seems like someone was quite a fan of Thor when it comes to the special attacks on offer...
