4. Motorola Moto 360
If you've been following the smartwatch scene, then you'll know that in the build-up to its release the Moto 360 was the most talked-about device second only to the Apple Watch. Released back in 2014, the Moto 360 lived up to expectations, and recently had its price cut to around £150, making it a great-value option for the first-time buyer. The Moto 360 looks great, with a large bold face surrounded by a thin slither of stainless steel. The default strap is made of genuine leather, though you can use the Moto Maker service to mix-and-match a range of different bands, straps and faces. At 1.56 inches, the Moto 360 display is one of the biggest around, though the 320 x 290 (205ppi) resolution means it's pretty pixellated by modern standards. It's no powerhouse any more either, with an OMAP 3 processor that shows its age through occasional stutters when swiping through the 360's home-screens. With its successor rumoured to be coming out by the end of this year, the Moto 360 may soon drop out of the limelight, but it remains a great-value smartwatch if you're on a tight budget, or just dipping your toe in the smartphone waters.
