Alton Towers: Ranking The Rollercoasters From Worst To Best

6. Th13teen

For such a recent addition (2010) to Alton Towers growing rollercoaster contingent, it may come as a surprise to find Th13teen placing so low on this list. However, Intamin's offering really isn't all that good. The rollercoaster element of the ride is relatively dull. Reaching a maximum speed of only 41mph, the excitement comes from the 'world's first' element - which sees the carriage pull in to a dark building and come to a standstill, where the track itself drops slightly (around 30cm), before a two second pause followed by a drop of 5 metres. The coaster then heads backwards, back out in to the open, before returning to the platform. It's certainly different, but it simply isn't on the same scale of excitement as the bigger rollercoasters in the park.
