10 Best Super Bowls Of All Time

10. Baltimore Ravens 34 San Francisco 49ers 31 (Super Bowl XLVII)

February 3rd 2013 and the 47th Super Bowl gave the footballing world a bit of a shock after Joe Flacco led his underdog Baltimore Ravens to the World title. Dubbed the Harbaugh Bowl due to the fact that the two head coaches were brothers, Jim and John saw their teams produce a high scoring game, the AFC Champion Ravens where tipped to blow the big game in Louisiana as many experts and pundits were backing the 49ers to win by four. If anyone was thinking that the Ravens were unable to match up against the NFC champions before the match, they weren't thinking that at half time after the Ravens raced into a 21-6 half time lead. Anquan Boldin got the first touchdown of the game from a Flacco throw on a play that summed up the 49ers in the first half. It was a replay of 3rd down after niners linebacker Ahmad Brooks was ruled offside on the Ravens first 3rd down attempt. Kicker David Akers hit two field goals for the 49ers in the first half but touchdowns from Baltimore's Dennis Pitta and Jacoby Jones gave the Ravens a big lead at the half. Baltimore's only touchdown in the second half came from the kick off as Jones returned the kick 108 yards for the score. Two touchdowns from San Francisco and a field goal made the score 28-23 to Baltimore going into the final quarter. The Ravens kicked two field goals in the fourth quarter to take their points tally to 34, the 49ers scored a safety with 0:04 seconds left in the game but the big play in the half came following a Colin Kaepernick 15 yard touchdown run for San Francisco. They attempted a two point conversion and missed it which then was followed by one of Baltimore's field goals to ensure the Ravens victory. This Super Bowl may be mostly remembered for the power outage which halted play for 34 minutes and despite never losing the lead, the Ravens and their opposition produced a shock result and a very eventful game of football.
