10 Best Super Bowls Of All Time

9. New Orleans Saints 31 Indianapolis Colts 17 (Super Bowl XLIV)

February 7th 2010, Sun Life Stadium in Miami and the Drew Brees led New Orleans Saints triumphed over Peyton Manning's Indianapolis Colts. Despite there being a 16 point difference between the teams this is one of the most memorable Super Bowls to date. It was hyped up to be a great game as the two best passers in the league (Brees and Manning) and the best teams in each conference squared off in a match which saw 48 overall points and three lead changes. The Colts who had gone 14-2 in their regular season games raced into a 10-0 lead thanks to a Matt Stover field goal and a Pierre Garcon touchdown. It was 10-6 at half time after the Saints kicker Garrett Hartley made two field goal attempts from 46 and 44 yards respectively. The second half started with one of the most memorable onside kicks of all time and the only onside kick to be taken before the fourth quarter in Super Bowl history. After the Saints recovered the ball they went on a 58 yard scoring drive with Pierre Thomas sealing the touchdown. The Colts responded with a Touchdown drive of their own covering 76 yards of the field and ending with a four yard run by Joseph Addai before the Saints kicked their third field goal of the game to make the score 17-16 going into the fourth quarter. In the next quarter Brees led the Saints on a scoring drive and even hit a two point conversion to ensure the Colts would need to do the same in order to draw level. After getting the ball into Saints territory, quarterback Peyton Manning threw an interception which CB Tracy Porter ran 74 yards for a touchdown and the final score of the game. One of the most eventful Super Bowls in history with some of the most exciting plays ever seen as the New Orleans Saints won their first ever World Championship in franchise history.
