10 Biggest Prospects On The ATP Tour
1. Alexander Zverev
Given that his father used to represent Russia and his brother currently still plays as a professional, it's no surprise that Alexander Zverev is tipped as the future of tennis after his success in the junior ranks and subsequent transition onto the men's scene.
Zverev may not have reached the same heights as Kyrgios and Coric but he is arguably the more well-rounded player than can have longevity at the top of the rankings.
As of April 2016, he holds 28 ATP Tour victories and has already won two Challenger events as a teenager. While he lacks a final appearance at the top tier, he has wins over Kevin Anderson, Marin Cilic, Grigor Dimitrov and Gilles Simon.
Those triumphs are eye-catching because they came over different types of players and it shows that Zverev has the game to trouble anyone, even before his 19th birthday. He almost beat Rafael Nadal at Indian Wells as well, letting slip a third-set lead to bow out in the last 16.
It remains to be seen whether he can continue along his current path but if he does, expect the German to make fast progress up the listings to become a threat at major tournaments over the next couple of years.
