Heavily reliant on his karate background, Northcutt throws a variety of kicks but also looks to counter box. Northcutt's hype was somewhat derailed when he was defeated by the tough Bryan Barberena via submission, however hardcore fans can see that he still has a very bright future in the sport due to his athleticism and skill set. There's also the bonus of his choice to now move full time to the elite MMA camp Tristar - home to the likes of George St.Pierre and Rory MacDonald. Only 20 years old, Northcutt is not even near his prime, which is scary to think about. Given another 5 years of top level training and we truly could be seeing something extraordinary.
